The LVC is programmed via the keypad. The commands for each menu are indicated by the icon preceding the explanation of the icons action. For example if you see #SET on the display, pressing the # button on the keypad will take you to the set menu. If you see #EXIT on the display pressing the # button on the keypad will cause you to exit the current screen .

On start up the LVC display will show the current DC bus voltage and either the current low voltage set points or the ow voltage trip condition.

BV=27.6 #SET
V1=24.5 V2=22.0

To change set points press the # button (SET) on the keypad the display will show the set up menu

1=LV SET #EXIT
2=BYPASS TIME 60

Press 1 (LV SET) to change the low voltage set points. The low voltage set menu will show:

LV1 SET 24.5
#ENTER

Enter the new low voltage set point for channel 1and press enter. The display will update and take you to the LV2 SET screen. Use the same procedure to set the low voltage point for channel 2. Pressing # (ENTER) again will take you automatically to the BYPASS TIMER set screen.

BYPASS TIMER
BYPASS TIME 60 #ENTER

Enter a new by pass time and press # (ENTER). Pressing enter will return you to the setup menu.

1=LV SET #EXIT
2=BYPASS TIME 60

Press # (EXIT) to return to the monitoring screen

BV=27.6 #SET
V1=24.5 V2=22.0

The LVC is now running and monitoring the DC voltage. If the voltage drops to or below the set point the display will indicate which set point has been reached and will turn the appropriate SSR off. The turn off takes approximately 5 seconds, this is to prevent shutdowns due to a temporary low voltage condition caused by a large load turning on. The display will show:

BV=24.2 #SET
LV1 TRIP * BYPASS

if the second low voltage setting is reached the display will change to show the second low voltage point:

BV=22.0 #SET
LV2 TRIP * BYPASS

To bypass the low voltage condition press the * (BYPASS) button on the keypad. The bypass timer will turn the outputs on for the set time. If the LV condition still exists the outputs will again turn off. If the LV condition has been corrected the outputs will remain on. To turn off the bypass timer press * again

BV=22.0 #SET
BYPASSED

For the LV condition to clear the bus voltage must rise 2 volts above the set point. This is done to prevent the out puts from toggling if the bus voltage is soft and near the shutdown set points. This will protect connected loads from being turned off and on rapidly by a discharged battery bank.

The LVC display shuts down if there has been no operator input for 5 minutes. Press any button to re-activate.
